Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Marin- I think it hit 80 degrees- Spring is here! Guy and I started the day with the super exciting task of cleaning out the entire garage. Let's just say Guy is a trooper with all the things I want to do pre-baby...As we finished up, covered in dust-bunnies, Guy suggested we clean up and go have a nice lunch in downtown San Rafael. I should have been suspicious when he casually suggested I wear a sundress, but I did think it would be fun to wear something besides my pregnancy uniform of yoga pants. We headed to a nice lunch outside on 4th Street and I started making more plans for our afternoon. Guy then suggested that we take a walk down the street to "enjoy the day". Before I knew it, 2 of our Young Life girls appear out of nowhere, wearing black jackets, sunglasses and red lipstick- and looking very serious- and led me into the waiting car of our fearless YL leader, Chrissy. It was hysterical- they acted like Secret Agents and took me to our committee chair's house where there was a surprise Baby Shower planned! It was amazing- there were 8 YL girls, 5 YL committee women and a few staff friends from SF and Sonoma. What a fabulous afternoon! I was overwhelmed by all that they had planned and we were blessed with more generous gifts for baby Avery. We are loved!
How fun! We can't wait to meet you Avery!
